I am conducting a cross-institutional study of instructor feedback practices, with colleagues from the National University of Singapore and Trinity University, supported by Elon University’s Center for Engaged Learning. The research grew out of our participation in a research seminar examining meaningful learning, which brought together scholar-practitioners in higher education to work in cohorts on multi-institutional research projects exploring high-impact educational practices. My team’s specific research focus is looking at how feedback instructors provide students impacts student success and persistence. We are in the process of launching a Faculty Feedback Practices survey in spring 2022, with plans to follow up with instructor interviews in 2022-2023.
